The beach is calling. Discover Tybee Island's sandy beaches, salty breezes, and outdoor adventure, located just 18 miles east of Savannah. Expect to see plenty of wildlife while you are here, from rough-billed pelicans and fiddler crabs to bottlenose dolphins.

Sunbathe and swim anywhere along our 5 miles of unspoiled beaches. Learn about the creatures of the sea at the Tybee Marine Science Center. Climb 154 feet to the top of the Tybee Light Station, the first lighthouse on the South Atlantic Coast. Picnic or read a relaxing book on our pier and pavilion located at the south end of the island. Or visit the Tybee Island Museum and see the artifacts and exhibits depicting all 400 years of the island’s history.

Days on Tybee are as active, or lazy, as the mood demands. Hang out on the beach or rent a kayak and jet ski to explore on your own.

Bring the whole family for some Tybee beach fun.
